Neighbourhood

Only 5 minutes from the city bowl, yet the sounds of the city are dimmed here, leaving one feeling calm and secluded. Everywhere is just a short walk or drive away.

Africa Cape Villa is located at the upper slopes of Table Mountain in Cape Town. The neighbourhood is secluded and historic, nestled below the world famous Mountain overlooking Cape Town’s City Bowl. Only 5 minutes from the city bowl, yet the sounds of the city are subdued, leaving your relaxed and at peace. Everywhere is just a short walk or drive away.

Upper Kloof street is a short, steep Cul De Sac at the top of trendy and vibey Kloof Street and just around the corner from Leeuwenhof, the beautiful historical home of the premier of the Western Cape, as well as the Oranjezicht City Farm where local food, culture and community is celebrated through urban farming. A short walk to Kloof Street and you will find hip bars, cool coffee shops and smoothie bars, elegant restaurants as well as funky eateries serving delicious meals with a view of our beautiful Table Mountain or his neighbour, Lion’s Head. If a more energetic walk is what you are looking for, a stroll up the steep streets will be plenty of cardio to work up an appetite.

Africa Cape Villa was built as a stone & brick factory in the early 1900 by Messrs Stoltenhoff and Fuers and later years it was used as the kitchen to a big boarding house which is now an upmarket security complex next door called St John’s Estate. It has been renovated in 2018 and turned into a holiday home with 3 luxurious bedrooms and comfortably & stylishly furnished living areas as well as an enclosed garden.
